According to Wayne State University , nearly 80 percent of children in Michigan use child safety seats when riding in vehicles, but 71.4 percent of the devices are installed incorrectly. In recognition of National Child Passenger Safety Week, Feb 12-18, the Michigan Office of Highway Safety Planning reminds parents and caregivers to properly install child safety and booster seats.
